How many rounds you got through that 709? Was gonna ask if you liked it then thought "that's a d.a. question, if he didn't like it he wouldn't carry it." Reason I ask, had a couple people say they were thinking about them.

Nice...I had a 709 for a bit...but I was searching for more of a "pocket" gun.

I will eventually get an LCP to carry in the pocket. Not all my clothing will accommodate a gun even as slim as the 709. As far as me liking it. It's not my favorite gun to shoot for fun. But for what it's intended to be and do, I like it. It has eaten everything I have put through it without a hiccup. It's probably only seen 250 rounds though. I shoot some mags through, just to keep practiced on it. But it's not the gun I go out to shoot. I go shoot the Ruger Single Six and the Sig 226 as much as possible, and mix a couple mags out of the 709 in there.

I love the nitecore. Mine has developed an issue though where if it gets hit just right, it will turn itself on even in lockout mode. Nitecore offered to take the light back and fix it, but for what they cost, i figured it wasn't worth the money to ship it to china and the time gone without my EDC light. I'll probably just pick up the new D11 model when I can

Have you tried taking the piston and cleaning and relube it?

And the D11 has no pocket clip or provision to attach one

nitecore seemed to indicate it was a defect in the LED unit. Here's a video I sent to nitecore showing the problem.
