As long as I tried to ignore the urge, I finally broke down and got an XD45 on a trade..... just came in from shooting 100 rounds, and cleaned it up..... all I can say is that it is everything ya'll have been telling everyone... Awesome.... great feel, low recoil, good sight pic, solid mag catch but quick release, accurate, repeatable, solid feel, and best of all - GREAT trigger, light, crisp, and the same on every shot.....

:bigtu: :bigtu: :bigtu: :bigtu: :bigtu: :bigtu: :bigtu: :bigtu: :bigtu: for Springfield XD!!!!!!!!!!!

i have been going to Gun-ho it is alright I guess

The last time I was their their credit card machine was down and I head someone say something like "this is the ___ time this has happened"

I ended up having to drive to a bank and get cash and come back (which was its own ordeal), after waiting for 10+ minutes for them to fix the machine. I might have been less upset if a discount would have been issued for the complications.

There are a couple of local gun clubs that offer military discounts and I might try and get in on a month-month thing, would probably be worth it.

Teirst, thanks, glad you like it.... I don't use a slide release when running the gun, always use my hand over the slide to rack, so never noticed if it's small or hard to catch with thumb? It is a very nice gun.... thanks again for the trade, that's as good as it gets when both parties are well pleased!

:thanks:

I got a 40 XD a week ago but havent shot it much. I cast and reload for the 40, but havent tried them yet. Has anyone tried/had any problems with cast boolits or reloads?
My XD-40 Tactical runs great on my lead bullet reloads. LEE 175gr TC with 5.0gr Win 231.

I love both my xds. My service model 40 just rolled over 16k rounds and finally had a part fail. The striker retainin pin split long ways. Gun still shoots great, ask adam87. The pin walks out the top slowly.
Called SA and told them the problem and they will ship out a new pin when they get some in stock. :(

i carry a xd sc 40 everyday and it only has a few thousand thru it and it shoots great.
No major problems with them so far. Should have 20k thru the service model by the first of the year.
Been reloading some 140gr cast and both pistols love them.
Im almost thru with my 2nd 8lb keg of powder and i get roughly 9300 rounds per keg.

Blast away!
