·Well, aside from my disdain for gander mountain, I am happy about finally receiving my 1911. I think it turned out great. I'm going to put about 500 rounds through to break it in and then take it to get a trigger job and Black T'd.


To prevent finish issues in the first place that would complicate a future refinish? Refinishing a pristine firearm is easier than refinishing a rust bucket. That's it exactly, I sweat buckets when I just think about how hot it is outside. If I don't black T a firearm up front I have huge rust issues. Plus I think the finish makes it easier to clean and maintain.Subsonix said:Awesome!
