Na this one is just the mark ii fv. Mr billy threaded the barrel for me. Its just plain cool now to shoot in the yard, from a dead oak tree to a small oak tree in the yard is exactly 100yds. So i staple my targets to the dead tree and put a light off to the side lighting up the targets. I shot till 10:30 the other night and nobody ever knew.

I must have missed the caliber. Is that a .22 LR or .17 HMR?

How much is the can to buy and own? I like the idea. I know there is some Federal permit required, but not sure how much hassle it is to get.

Thanks.

Nice rifle. Does that can effect you grouping or anything. I know you don't to give away trade secrets but at least let us know what to stay away from.
thanks
I will jump in with what I know. The can does affect the point of impact. It affects it the same every time though. Once you site the gun in with the can on the end of the barrel you are good. It will hit the same place every time. Take the can off and you will see a small shift on the point of impact. This is caused by putting a weight (the can) on the end of the barrel. This changes the harmonics of the gun which in turn affect the point of impact.

The Yankee Hill can he has is $250 and you have to pay the ATF $200 for a tax stamp. No permit required just a form 4 sent to the ATF and they send it back with a stamp on it. The process does take some time as the ATF is not the fastest organization around. There is no annual fee or anything like that. The hassle factor is low if you pick the right people to do business with. Most of the hassle comes with a non responsive dealer. There are a few members of the board that can help you get a can, including myself.
