I have been searching for a 1911 .45 and brought one home today. It is an "off brand" but that's what I was looking for, something to build on. Citadel is made in the Philippines, by ArmsCorp I think. Same place that makes RIA, Para and Charles Daley "I think". I'll have a range report soon.

They also make High Standard 1911s. I don't know about the charles Daleys though(but that means nothing). The citadels, like the RIAs and High Standards, are simply good quality, bare bones, reliable(with fmj) guns. Congratulations! I love my HS! You'll be pleased.

Buy some QUALITY mags! Chip McCormick powermags+ and Kimpro tacmags are excellent mags

The only mag it came with is an 8 rnd. marked "ACT.MAG made in Italy" and looks like originals I see photos.

I just got a Metoarms 1911 (made in the Phillipines). So far, I'm impressed. It's eaten all the reloads that I've thrown at it.
