this is my Springfield Armory Loaded Lightweight 1911 and everyday pocket contents, I just put some black VZ Operator IIs on it but I dont have a decent pic of it wearing
them yet

Nice rig! I have one suggestion from experience. I started carrying a flashlight with a pockt clip a couple of months ago. I have been really surprised at how much I have used it. Mine is a Browning that cost me about $32. It has an aluminum body so I could use it as a striking tool if necessary, but the flashlight portion is my main concern.

I usually carry a double A maglite but I stopped untill I can get a LED conversion kit for it because it keeps twisting on in my pocket and killing the battery. But yeah, I agree with you a flashlight is always a good idea

I thought the larger one would be a bit awkward to carry and "present" if need be. How does it work for EDC?

I bought my Browning at Gary's in West Point. It takes a single AA battery, which is what attracted me to it! It is LED and is rated for 80 lumens.

it sounds crazy and maybe it is but since FMJs have better penetration than JHPs I keep one on top in (the unlikely) case I have to shoot through my car window or something similar.Also they are cheaper to change out (just mark em and put em in with the range ammo) when bullet setback occurs due to repeated chambering, it avoids misshaping the JHP bullet from repeated chambering which is really easy due to the *hollowyness.

...just seemed like a good idea

Ive heard of alot of guys mixing ammo up similar to that.. Never know what you need. One for penetration like mentioned for glass, another for extreme energy dump and somthing thats gonna penatrate to a certain extent then dump its energy.
