My "Trainer" press arrived today.

The mailman was good to me today, received both my carry permit AND my first press.

Nothing fabulous, a RCBS Reloaders Special in very good shape. I was looking at Rock Chuckers, but the 3 or 4 per day that sold on Ebay were running around $100 plus used. I can get a new one for about $135 delivered. But you all have convinced me that Dillon is the way to go, so I don't want to invest much upfront on a single stage setup. Buying used, should I decide to sell later I can pretty much get my money back, but as small as the investment is I'll likely just keep it. May decide to do some rifle someday. Didn't want to jump into Dillon right away, "baby steps" right? Also I may not really enjoy doing this, don't know until I try it.

Adding a pic of my workbench, the poor little RS sure looks lonely. I'll probably throw together a bench elsewhere in the shop for the loading stuff. I feel fortunate to have this 16 x 20 room off the carport.

Have some more stuff to get, but plan to be rolling by Labor Day.

Hey, nothing wrong with the RCBS Reloader Special. I think that is what RCBS is now calling their old Junior press. I started with a Junior press in 1976. I still have it............ :)

NICE shop (aka: Man Cave)..............

Labor Day....? WTF....? You should start cranking out ammo by the end of July..... :)

That is a great start -- bet you will end up keeping it!! Almost everyone has a need for a good single stage at times!!

If we can help you with start-up, just let us know!!

Yeah, the Lee autoprime was the clear winner in my thread on priming the other day. At around $25 with the die set it will be maybe my cheapest purchase. My hand can use a little workout anyway :p

Have some RCBS carbide 9MM dies coming, have a Uniflow powder measure on hand...it's coming together.

You guys have been a huge help in steering me straight. Thanks.
