Me and some others have purchased some NCStar products here recently. flip up sights, halographic sights, tac flashlights, etc. thes products are cheaply made and do not function as designed. please reconsider before trying to "save" money with these products. sorry if i cant rant and rave here if so i appologize. giving a friendly warning.

I have a little "cheapy" NCStar 4x scope. You basically get what you pay for. It works, but nothing great...... I did replace it with a UTG 4x short scope which is a little better.

However, I do use CARDs (Cheap Ass Red Dot) sights on some of my SMGs with OK results. Sorry, but I just can't justify spending big $$$ on ACOGs & EOTECHs and other better dot sights. Currently my life does not depend on my CARDs...............

I took a chance and bought a 3-9x42 rubber armoured NCStar scope for my M&P 15. These usually sell for around $159. I found one somewhere online for $105. It just came in the mail yesterday so I only have had a chance to mount it. Off the bat it appears that the reticle is canted about 5 minutes clockwise. Being as the main purpose for this rifle is plinking, I dont think this will be a major issue. Maybe I can get some rounds downrange this weekend.

I purchased a NCStar red dot a couple of years ago in an attempt to save some cash. I'll NEVER buy their products again. The entire assembly was plastic not aluminum. The controls were near impossible to manipulate. I gave it to me friend's four year old son to put on his BB gun. He won't even use the thing. Granted, I probably got the worst product that NC offers but that left a bad taste in my mouth. I'd rather do without than use their sights again.

I got the chance to play.with one of the bushnell scopes like that yesterday. For $100-150 it is WELL worth the money. The worst ncstar product we tried was the flip up sights.

I was just Fixin to post about my experience with ncstar this weekend. I ordered a 4x30 scope for the McCain shoot. Zeroed it at the 25m zero per military protocol. During the first half of the first relay everything was dandy. Then I started noticing everything hitting low and left and the little green men were laughing. I adjusted with my hold. Well the enemy went to hitting the deck. On the way back from lunch I dropped by my local shooting location and checked my zero. Sure enough at 25m I was 3" low and 3" left. I then redeemed and continued to camp McCain. After a few rounds the scope lost zero again. All this from a compensated ar15. I could understand these results from a heavy recoiling rifle. So I switched to irons and continued shooting.
