I am stumped! I'm trying to find a reference for a Model 1871 Mauser made by National Arms & Ammunition Co. Ltd. Of Birmingham, England. I know this company received an order for 75,000 rifles from Prussia with only 6,000 delivered. The Mauser I have only has British proofs and accepts a pattern 1853 British socket bayonet, I also have the bayonet. Rifle is in perfect condition. Maybe made for British trials? Any help appreciated!
