Buddy has had a pistol given to him,doesn't know what it is. 9mm single stack blue with about a 3.5 or 4'' barrel. Markings; left side; k100(in a rectangle), ETxxxx,(serial #, also on frame), 64. Right side: C.A.I., st. alb vt., 9-mak, germany(germany is going down the frame at an an angle.
Controls are; left side, safety, slide stop.
magazine release on bottom of grip.

That CAI may be Century Arms. You might check their website. The 9 mak should be 9mm makarov. That ammo is fairly common.

Compare to others 4 sale on Gunbroker. It looks like the one that I linked above sold for $395 with the Buy It Now feature. I don't know how that compares to the one you are talking about.
