I inherited an old savage 12ga from my late grandfather. It has a medium amount of rust on it. What products and/or methods work best. Thanks for any advice

Get some fine steel wool and rub the rust off. Then coat it with some light rust preventative. I use Gunzilla. It is an all in one product, cleaner, lubricator, rust preventative. Fine stuff.

maybe try some cheese cloth

Easy does it....

I like Break Free or Clip..run a little on it ..wipe it down...

To store put it in one of those "gun socks" they are about $15 - 20 I guess for a long gun

Like they said above or a rag and a little flitz works ok on light rust.
