What you have is a customized Mannnlicher-Schoenauer High Velocity Sporting Rifle. It was the only rifle they had for the magnum rounds. It was produced before WWII. Calibers were 7x64 Brenneke, 30-06, 8x60 Magnum, 9.3x62, and 10.75x68mm. Your price is a good starting point as 3 years ago a specimen in excelant condition was valued at just over 2 grand. Mannlicher Schoenauer but I didn't think the magnums came before 1956.

Gun Trader's Guide, 30th Edition put out by Stoeger Books. The 8x60 was first made in 1925.
