does anybody own a howa 1500 or has shot one thinking about getting one but dont no much about them

They are good for the money. I own/have owned several and have/had no problems. they are accurate. Just to note also, Howa builds the Weatherby Vanguards in the same factory as the Howa's. I don't think you'll be diappointed with the purchase of one.

really well thank you ive always been a fan of the remington 700 till i held a howa 1500 with the green houge stock in a 338 fell in love with it

+1 on the Howa/Weatherby Vanguard. I have the Vanguard in 300wby mag., zero problems/very accurate for this old man's eyes.

Lots of availiable aftermarket parts. Good rifle. Same as W'by (jap), & S&W if you look for stocks and aftermarket triggers.

It's one of the best values out there. The Japanese military sniper rifles are built on the Howa 1500 action

cool i found one with a nitrex nighteater scope on it the green houge stock brand new for 535 i dont think thats a bad price
