Read in the paper that an Academy store is going to be built in Madison, with groundbreaking in June.

Unless something has changed they're closing the countyline store. At that's what our system implies. It has been saying "Relocating X/X/2018" for a few months now.

But no one knew details till now.

I figured Academy would play wait and see what transpires with Gander Mountain before closing any store. Maybe they have info that we don't?

I don't really know, but I doubt it, considering the short length of time that they have been at that location.

I remember 5 or 6 years ago Marshon Crisler on tv in the old Robinson Road Kroger parking lot raising hell about them closing saying something similar and that apparently there was "some perceived blight taking over the city of Jackson" that he wasn't aware of. He seemed ignorant of the fact that the citizens of his ward were robbing that store blind on a daily basis.
