Glad to join. I am in Picayune; an hour NW from Gulfport, an hour south of Hattiesburg, & an hour NE of New Orleans (right in the middle). Love to watch football and with the recent influx of folks from the west it almost feels like Pearl River Parish instead of Pearl River County. With that being said, Geaux Saints.
I have not hunted in 15+ years and was invited by a friend this year. It resparked my interest and now I would rather hunt than do most anything else. Since it has been so long since I have been hunting I am just like a kid learning for the first time all over again. GunOneDown turned me on to this site and I am thankful. I know this is not a hunting site per say but guns and hunting kinda go hand & hand. Thanks to everyone that participated in his 45-70 vs. 444 poll. Thanks for the oppurtunity to join your site.

I spent 1 night in Picayune in 1969. I stayed at a little bitty "motor court" like they had before real motels---with separate houses for each guest. (The water was awful back then.)
