a guy that i have done a bit of buying from in the past caught up with me friday evening. Said he was short of money and neeed some quickly to take care a some bills. He had a few guns that he was wanting to do something on, so i said sure i will take a look. He knows i am a sucker for 1911's. He had a like new kimber TLEII stainless, I ask him what he want for it and he wanted $750, i told him the gun was worth that but i wasnt willing to pay that for it. I told him i would give him $600 for it right now or i would help him try and sell it for the $750 which he could probably get. He said he needed the money now and didnt have time to wait to sale.......SO i have a mint kimber TLEII stainless for $600.00  . It shoots great too. when i walked in with it my wife looked at me out of the corner of her eyes and said "do you really need another 1911" Old girls come a long way when i first met her she didnt know a revolver from a auto or a shotgun from rifle, i aksed her what made her think that was a 1911, she replied " i can tell from the grip and the beavertail safety" YEP she is a keeper. I will try to get some pics of it up tonight.

Congrats on the new member -- OH, it must be great to have a wife that actually knows the difference in a revolver and a 1911!! Mine calls everything a "gun."

that was a sweet deal. had he been willing to give it a few days and ask $750 for it i was going to post it on here in the classifieds and help him sell it, but he was in need of the cash then, my gain i guess. There are some good deals out there right now with the economy in the shape its in, remember buy low sell high. i bought a dan wesson 44mag about a month ago for $375.00 it has a bit of wear on it but is a tight gun. It seem like a lot of folks around here know i will buy guns and am a bit more fair on the value than some of the pawnshops so i ussualy end up seeing some interesting guns.

Congrats on the new find!

A coworker just the other day traded/sold his custom carry toward one of those Talo dealer specials that Kimber makes. I thought he was nuts. The new one he got is one of those with all kinds of fancy engraving in the metal and the grips (REALLY overdone for my taste). I told him, "Now all you need is a big floppy-brimmed hat and a fur coat and your pimp get-up will be complete!"

Sweet deal! When I went looking for a new 1911 late last year, the TLE was one that I was leaning towards, but I decided I really wanted a lightweight, so I got the CDP II full size, aluminum frame. While I've heard a lot of stuff on the 'net about how Kimbers can be picky, especially when new, mine has fed, fired, and functioned with everything I've put in it, including both round nose and SWC cast reloads, two or three brands of ball, Hydra Shoks, and Rangers. Not a hiccup in several hundred rounds to date.

Again, that was a sweet deal. I'll up Joe's bid and offer you $660 for it.

Nice pistol. Send me a PM with your buddies phone number. That 600 won't last 'bout a month. And nice find on the young lady, I agree she's a keeper. I guess we all got the rolling of the eyes coming in with a new firearm.

You don't run across deals like that very often. Nice
