Hello everyone. Found the site from a friend. I recently purchased a new rifle and came here for one of my research stops. Site looks great so I signed up. I'm an outdoorsman from central MS and spend as many hours as possible in the woods or on the water. I reload and love shooting long distance. I have killed several deer over 400yds and target out to 500yd. I hunt all over the state and fish the MS river and coast mostly. Your conversations here were very helpful in my latest buy and I look forward to reading and contributing in the future.

And speaking of latest buy, does anyone have any 35 whelen ammunition they want to sell. I can't find any 200gr anywhere, even online. I am just looking for a couple of boxes to get me through this season before I start reloading. Thanks.

Thanks guys. I bought the gun from Van's. All the has was 225gr (or maybe 250) Hornady at "way to much" per box. Only other place in metro area that had any was Buffalo Creek. Nosler Special load at $60/box. Didn't even ask what gr. I can find 250gr online, just not any 200gr. Got one box of 200gr Corelokts form a buddy that will last me through the season. I'll be reloading in spring.

BTW, got the gun Monday, sighted in Tues. and killed an 8pt yesterday with it. Off to a good start.

Welcome aboard! :wel4: My friend mentioned (3 weeks ago), that WALMART, in Flowood, (Hwy25) had a quite a number of boxes of 35 wheelen.....Might be worth checking into!... :gun:
