Hello everyone! I am Joe and heard about your forum from a gentleman who works in a package store in Ridgeland. He noticed my open carry firearm and inquired about what type of holster I was using. This began the discussion which lead me to you. I have been carrying openly and/or concealed (depending on location and clothing)for about 14 years. I have always been a gun advocate but never really knew it. I never discussed it with anyone or joined any club, etc.

Thanks for all of the Welcomes. Yes, I do have many stories in regards to open carry. Most of them are pretty boring an uneventful. Lots of people (the general public) do not understand that it is ok...legal...and...well...normal for me to carry my pistol everywhere I go. I get a break from the looks and comments during winter due to concealing clothing. By the way, is there a better division of this board to discuss this rather that the welcome new members area? I will continue there when I find out where to go. I'll look now.
