As far as CMP is concerned:

Better go ahead and get ya an order in for a Garand....before they run out....

I mulling over a HRA...don't need it...but we'll all be crying in a few years when there aint none to be had...

I still kick myself for not punching the Mastercard when CMP had the Rockola carbines...dang I wanted one...but my wallet was "smoked" when they came out and I think they sold out in like 2 days

If we are lucky they will have some 1903's next year

Thanks Captian and Subgun, good info for the new member Jpdmidas. For those who what to join go to http://msfoa.com and click on Join MSFOA. There is a PDF file to click on to print out the application. We will have a member meeting the end of Februay. I will try to let everyone know exactly what date.

Also the CMP had an update Oct. 14 that had this info:
"WINCHESTER SERVICE GRADE M1 GARAND. The CMP now has several hundred Winchester M1 Garand rifles for sale. Please visit http://www.thecmp.org/m1garand.htm . Item number is RM1WRAS. Price is $795 plus $22.95 S&H."

Someone was talking about their wallet smoking this would do it.

Any questions about MSFOA do not hesitate to email me deb at withersplace.com

Thanks Debbie Withers, Secretry MSFOA

Doug, why do they require to be a member of the NRA? Quote from site. "Members are required to be a current member and in good standing with the NRA and provide their NRA number."
I am a member of the NRA but have thinking about not renewing because of some of there :bull: that I don't agree with.

I don't agree with everything they do either. Without the NRA, we would not have to bother having this forum. We would not have the firearms we are writing about.

Also, the NRA does more to promote gun safety and our sport than any other firearm owner's association. I have been a life member since 1963 and I am proud of it. The NRA has also provided funds for helping build our range and to help us buy the shooting equipment needed for our Junior Shooting Program. No other organization does these things for the shooting sports.
