I finally got an LCP after seeing everyone at work get one. It just seemed so handy to have a "pocket pistol" that easy to conceal. I was a little hesitant about the caliber, but after finding one at Taylor's Gun Exchange for $245 I couldn't turn it down. We I finally to it to the range this weekend and put 100 rounds through it. All I can say is wow! I really wasn't expecting a pistol that small to shoot so well. The recoil is very manageable for a 9 ounce gun. I only shot at 7 yards, but I was able to run the plates at Turcotte really well. The trigger pull is very long and pretty heavy with a long reset, but it actually felt pretty smooth despite the weight. The sights aren't the greatest in the world, but they do the job. The more I think about it, I don't know if I'd want full sights on a pistol I carry in my pocket. I could see them getting hung up pretty easily. I didn't have any malfunctions with the hollowpoints or FMJ.

I like it so much I'll probably use it as my EDC (unless I have to go to South Jackson for something).

Got mine and I love it. Got a desantis holster, maybe ya'll recommended. Say what you want to but after shooting it, I was well impressed. Two gut shots to Mike Tyson and I think I could take him (with a tire iron, I ain't no fool).

Neat little guns and made in the USA. I think that I read an article on the LCP that said that the triggers smooth up with use. I own a Colt and a Sig 380 but I would like to add a Ruger LCP because it is a Ruger, plus price and concealability.

Which holster? I got an Uncle Mikes inside-the-pants (size 10) that works well and just picked up a Blackhawk inside-the-pocket (#03) to try but not too sure I'll get used to carrying it in my pocket...

Now all you guys are going to hog all the little 380 ammo that is coming on the market..... keeping the price up................. :)

My boss told me today that he just bought a LCP.

Me, I am looking for a KILLER DEAL on a Colt Mustang....... Waiting and waiting............. Or got my finger crossed that the US Gooberment will someday allow the Glock 25 to be sold in the USofA....

Yep, me, too.:) Thought I wanted one of those Baby Glocks (DB380) when they came out, but all the bad reports changed my mind. I'll wait on a real Glock 380. Please let me know when they get here.:)

Hope not, we need the price to come down so all us little-LCP owners can actually afford to go out and put a few rounds through them! ;)

Go with the Di Santis "Superfly". It's got the flap thingie. I carry a Taurus 380 everyday in the front pocket of my khakis. As we were leaving the house the other day my wife asked me why I wasn't taking a gun. She knows it's there and still can't see it.

Dang it. You guys are going to force me to start down the road of a new caliber.

I might find room to squeeze in 1 more (small) gun . . . but I have no room for more ammo. :p

I really like my desantis nemisis for pocket carry.
That's what I got. Keeps lent out of the gun and pull out with a rearward montion. The little "hook" will ensure only the pistol comes out.
Got a good deal on a colt mustang but after so many FTF, I couldn't trust it. In hindsite, should have taken it to a smith but being a revolver guy, I was used to one being ready to go out the box. I really liked the feel but don't think I'll see a deal like the one I got on that one. I think I traded it for a Smith 66.

Consider the little crimson trace add-on laser sights for the lcp and the crimson trace (galco?) pocket holster.. A lot of confidence for not much bucks...
Oh, no!!! Not the laser sight debate again. Now you've gone and done it.

By the way, I agree with you, but some here think a laser sight is a product of the devil.

Finally had a little spare time today and tried out my new LCP as well. Even though I had read about the trigger pull I was still surprised and it took some getting used to that looong pull. But I very quickly got a feel for it and moved the target from 5 to 7 yds. was very impressed with the accuracy and performance. One-Handed shooting was easy and accurate for me also, been practicing that with my 9mm but it seems a chore compared to the LCP. Only had an hour at the range and put about 75 rounds thru it but it was fun and can't wait to shoot 'er again!
PS
probably been mentioned before but, the everything you ever wanted to know about LCP forum-

The little LCP's have great accuracy despite the sights on them. For a deep concealment pistol they are great in my book.

Only wish ammo for them would come back down in price. Amazing to me how they can charge more for .380 than 9mm. Guess I'll keep shooting my 9 for now.
