Yesterday I bought an older Cold Steel SRK with the Carbon V blade. It in good shape but it has been used a bit. From the factory the blade came with a black epoxy powder coat but this one has a black blade with some red spots all over that looks like a spatter paint and some of the finish is worn off of the point. I want to strip the blade and refinish it or have it done but I don't want to spend more to do that than what the knife is worth. Stripping it is no problem but I'm looking for ideas for a tough but inexpensive black finish. Any suggestions?

Since I posted this I found a couple of different products that may work and I'm considering doing a forced patina just to be different. Duracoat is a possible too! I may see what Black-T would be since their price list says $10 for a pistol magazine.
