I am about to build a custom 10/22. i Got on the internet and went to e author brown company and found my stock and barrel on there. Its one of the Silhouette Stocks - Laminated in gray and the barrel is on of the Threaded Fluted 10/22 Accuracy Barrel Stainless (.920) plan on putting one of the tactical solutions muzzle break on it and adventually a can to quieten it down a little does anyone know anything about that company like quality of there items and time it takes to ship i plan on ordering my stock, barrel, muzzle break, extended mag release, 15moa tactical weaver style scope base, timney trigger, and tactical v-block all at one time does this sound like it will make a good shooter or what other parts do i need and if i have some parts on my wish list that ya ll thinnk i dont need let me know because this is the first custom 10/22 i have built and it will be soon followed by the same set up but with a PINK stock for my wife. Let me know what your opinions are of my chosen setup so far.

Ok guys good new! i just ordered a BSA platnium 8x32x44 ao scope from natchez shooters supply.com i believe that is a scope that someone recomended at one time for my 10/22 fclass gun. Please let me know if i made the right decision and if anyone has had any dealings with them could you tell me a little about how long the shipping takes thanks
Oh yeah I bought two caldwell 6x9 bipods swivel from accademy a little while ago they had them on sale $35 each so i bought the rest they had i think they usually run about 50 each. Also could ya tell me if i need a 15 or 20 moa scope base and what kind of rings do i need? for that bsa
On the 10/22 you shouldn't need the 20 MOA rings for shooting 100yds. You need 1" rings tall enough for the BSA 8-32 scope to clear the barrel. I suggest what are called "high" rings. Look on Brownell's website at part # 955-490-303. This is what I use with my BSA 8-32.

.
i thought about getting some of those weaver 6 bolt like hammer put on that savage.
Any time that you run a solvent or oil based cleaner down the barrel, it is going to take 3 to 4 shots for the gun to burn any minute amount of petroleum solvents out and slow the bullet back down. Down side, it takes a few minutes to clean the carbon out of the barrel, and a few rounds to burn off any residue after running dry patches down the bore. So don,t worry about adjusting sights till you have shot a few warm up shots after cleaning. During hunting season, I only run dry patches down the pipe.I have seen centerfire rifles sling bullets around 10 inches high after cleaning the inside of a barrel. But every shot after dropped back down to zero. Nice looking rig you got there.
thanks guys i need to post some new pictures of it since i have gotten my new scope and rings on it and my volquartsen trigger group should be here today. when i get it in i will post some more pictures and i still havent had a chance to do any testing i have 12 different types of ammo to try in her to see which she shoots best.

Well see i need another reciever to build my wife one she wants one with a pink stock so i thought acout giving her my factory stainless reciever and buying a tactical soluctions or vol. to put back in mine... what do ya think about that? see i found the tactical soluctions stainless reciever and bolt for 355.00 and the vol. is like 300.00 for just the reciever then you gotta buy the bolt. but i can buy a whole new factory 10/22 for 239.00.

Thanks SGF it does make me happy cant wait till march....?? what ever the date is of the next match to meet ya ll and get some time in behind the trigger. Ok SGF i need a shooting mat, one of those neat .22 cal. ammo boxes and a new rest and bag. any ideals or any extra ones you got laying around i would love to have one ha
ALSO i know this should be in the for sale section but i thought i would see if there was any interest in it first. I have a nearly brand new factory trigger i would like to sale or trade. it would make a great platform to perform your own trigger job on or for parts. it is completely stock and has never been broken down or anything. if any of ya ll are interested let me know
If the price is right, I'll take the trigger group. PM me.

Nice build btw.

Most stores only carry the low end 10/22. It's a shame as Ruger has around 35 versions. Some have the target trigger and alot of features.

Example: Ruger 10/22 VLEH Tactical MSRP $555.00 [nobody pays that I know] Comes as shown, all you need is glass.
