This is depressing, just submitted paperwork for a simple Ruger SLR .22 suppressor. I 'spose it'll be February 2017 before it gets out of jail.

The lesson here is go ahead and get another can or two now.:hmm:

FINALLY !!! Ruger Silent-SR approved, stamp and can in hand. Check cashed December 8th. Shot a hunnerd rounds, very quiet. big fun.
Now waiting on two more. A Sig 7.62 and an AAC556, both checks cashed in March time frame.

This topic sucks without pictures. This is my new fun toy. I've had the S&W Victory (.22) with threaded barrel for about a year, plinking aorund waiting on the tax stamp. The suppresor is the Ruger Silent-SR.

Oh yeah, the original S&W grips were designed to fit everyone, thus they were pretty small. For my hand size that's usually a good thing but even I didn't like the fit. Plus, they were cheapo black plastic. Solution: Cocobolo grips from the Altamont grip company, just the right size and oh so spiffy.

No they do not. "The chief law enforcement officer has to be notified", this is no longer interpreted as a local LEO sign off.

In our state "they" mail a notice to the the chief poobah at the Mississippi Department of Public Safety.

"they" is whomever handles your paperwork, Silencer Shop, local shop, etc.

Well it took 13 months for a paper Form4, got the the call Thursday the tax stamp arrived for my fourth NFA item (AAC 556). Dealer says eform takes about 3-6 months now, but you no longer get a physical stamp, just digital. That's very disappointing, I REALLY like the physical stamp and for $200 you should have it sent to you in a matted frame.
