USAS-NRA PISTOL COACH SCHOOL
The Southwest Gun Club is going to conduct a USA Shooting-NRA Coach School. The class is designed to prepare it’s attendees to be coaches in International Pistol, Conventional Pistol and Junior Progressive Position Pistol (PPP). A coach is different from an instructor. An instructor has contact with his pupils for one or two days. A coach has continuous contact with his athletes and continues with them on a long term basis. When the class is completed, the participants will be appointed coaches. There are other levels of Coach Credentials that may be attained and they will be discussed in the class.
Any pistol program can benefit by having their Coach Personnel attend this class. Our club has four Certified Coaches and shooters we have trained have been doing very well in competition.
The class will be conducted on August 14 & 15, 2010 starting at 8:30AM on both days. We will furnish all NRA-USAS Materials, a lunch and drinking water. The class will be limited to 17 participants. The fee for the class will be $140.00, including $100.00 for the materials required. Please let me know if you are going to attend ASAP, because of the limited number of participants we can serve.
We will be shooting air pistols to demonstrate the techniques used in pistol coaching.
