my ex girlfriends dad before he passed away gave me a browning 22 auto, belgiam made, with the rear sight having the wheel adjustment, the gun is mint, at least 98.5% trouble is i can not find a serial number anywhere on the rifle, i do not want to take it apart, but i would love to know the year of manufacture...... any help would be nice

Fine little guns. I have one that my Dad left to me. Next time I get it out, I will look for the serial number. Do you have the type that loads through the stock and ejects out the bottom.?

I have one made in 1962. The serial # is on the bottom of the barrel at the tip of the forend.
