Operating rod beginning to bend

I've been shooting some of the "Greek" ammunition from CMP in my Garand. This is almost hot ammo. It chronographs at well over 2800, closer to 2900. All other loads I've been shooting have been between 45.5 and 47.0 grains of IMR 4895 using 168 grain bullets. Anybody have any idea what's going on with my operating rod or is it normal for it to have a slight bend to it? If you lay it on a flat board, the bend starts about 1/2' from the gas plug end and increases for about 4" to a height of about 3/16" off the board and then goes back to a straight rod after about 4 more inches. I have not noticed this slight bend before until after I shot about 70 to 80 rounds of the Greek ammo from CMP.

I thought the same thing when I first became a Garand owner ... They are suppose to be BENT!! They have to run from directly under the barrel to the right side of the weapon ... the bend accomplishes this. Do not try to straighten it!! Nothing wrong with it!!!

I have probably shot in excess of 3K of HXP .. yes, it does seem a little hotter than LC M-2 ball. However, it should present no problem. Now go have fun!!

...I was shooting with my reloads but better than some peoples groups(one in particular who I won't mention).
I am sitting here scratching my head wondering who that may be!!
