A while back I asked about traveling to Atlanta and got a lot of feedback. Now I need the same feedback on New Orleans. I'm going to be going to an event at the superdome and I'm sure I'll also find myself around Bourbon Street, the zoo,river walk mall and the French Quarters. Now, I know LA is a reciprical state and that the superdome is almost certainly off limits but what about B Street. I don't drink but might want to brows around. Do I carry or leave it in the room. Once again I want to be reasonable but safe and to stay inside of the law. I know I'm not the only person on the boards to go to NO so lets hear it.

Concealed means concealed.
Bourbon St= bars
Bars= no carry
That being said I would carry.
That's funny, because I was thinking the same thing before I read it. Heck, I wouldn't be caught in La, period, without protection. Great people, but some of them will hurt you, usually for very little reason. I don't even have a CCL, but I wouldn't even consider Burbon St without some sort of backup plan.:)

Leaving it in the room or car/truck would almost guarantee it be stolen. Tote it.

When I was younger I never carried in NOLA and I was there alot... the things I saw during those times lead me to the resolution of never returning unarmed. Now I have a wife/kids and even though I wont be in the dive bars outside the quarter, I will most definately be carrying any/everywhere I go.

I think what I was trying to say is: Its a rough town, carry. Just remember that concealed means concealed.
