Ive said it before and i will say it again... i think the atf just throws darts at a board to come up with some of the assinine rulings they do.

just put a folder on it atf said if it can be shoulder fired it is a long gun even with pistol grip. i love loop holes

This is nothing new. The barrel is one inch shorter than minimum length and the overall length is too short by one and one-half inches. The GCA clearly defines shotties as having eighteen inch barrels and being twenty-eight inches overall. The article describes the barrel as having been replaced with one of seventeen inches. If you modify it keep it within the established guidelines or expect to be called out on it.
