I hope lots of kids get involved. Most nowadays seem to only want to sit in front of an XBox or something.
I had a ton of fun in high school shooting 10 meter air rifle. I once came in 6th overall in a big postal match with over 700 other kids shooting.
We had two really dedicated JROTC instructors who got it going and kept us fired up about it. We even had to build our own range in an old basement level shower room under the school auditorium. Now THAT is a hell of a story!
