Yes they both have to shoot left handed because they can't see well enough out of their right eye to shoot but they are both right handed. Its actually good that she is a south paw shooter because she can show him much easier how to properly hold the gun than we can. They make left handed bolt actions but no one that we know of makes a left handed semi auto.

Thanks. She has gained so much from the appleseed. She is learning not just marksmanship but responsibility and safety. She is gaining confidence in herself and that in itself makes going to the appleseed worth it

Thanks and she is very focused. She said "Its like the gun is part of me and everything else just dissappears when I'm concentrating on the target." She is serious about shooting and she knows when she didn't hit where she was aiming. Why she didn't hit where she was aiming and what she has to do to correct it.Each round she pushes herself to out do what she did the round before. I can't be more proud of her I don't think. She has found a sport she is good at and loves and she works her rear off on the range to achieve her goals.I can see a future of a LOT of ammo being burnt practicing.

Thanks for the pictures. Looks like the men have their work cut out for them ..trying to out shoot the women.

I still say we need to get Hammer on line...Please help spread the word, and see if we can get the line full at every shoot.

I would not worry about finding a left-handed semi...I shoot left-handed also, and have never had a problem .. Use that money to buy lots of ammo.. When she goes for a certain type of sport later, then you can get left-handed equipment...Heck, by then, I will be so old, we may can use some of mine....Main thing, let her burn all the ammo you can..

Let me know if I can help you in any way. D-451

It was a pleasure having her at the 'Seed! Next time we'll see about her trying Pete's 795 if I can pry it out of his hands! The ages on Sunday's shooting line were 14, 13, 12, 10 and 8. Bright future for all of the young shooters!

Oh wow I though pete was older. He was so funny and energetic. I think her favourite part of this Appleseed was shooting the little plastic "red coats". We are having some friends over with their boys in a few weeks and I plan to let them shoot all the little green plastic figures they can shoot. LOL

You should see when the adults do it. They start off acting like, "Why are we doing this silly exercise?", but when they hit theirs, you can't wipe the smile off their faces. Especially when you tell them that sizewise, it's the equivalent of a 850 meter shot at a man sized target.

Au contraire! My left hand grew up tickling the trigger of a Browning 22. It's better described as ambidextrous. It's only real flaw is the occasional hot brass in the crook of the supporting arm!

The little Browning is a neat rifle.. just pretty light to contol, and not many options to get the sling and swivels on it... I have one, but never shoot it..i only have one left-handed 22...A browning T-Bolt..Now that is a neat little gun also..D-451
