Mandy was diagnosed yesterday with breast cancer. Invasive ductal carcinoma. We don’t really know a lot of details at this point but, based on the size of the lump and the fact that she gets annual exams, I believe it to be early stage. We have our first consult with the surgeon tomorrow and will hopefully learn more.

We are struggling to process this as you can imagine. Theses days, it’s highly treatable but, for me, it’s something I can’t fix. It’s like a thief in the night robbing her of her peace and joy.

I have vowed to remain positive throughout knowing that the Lord has this. I know most of y’all don’t really know me but I would appreciate it if you would remember us in your prayers.

Thank you all. I believe Mandy is not a cancer victim, just a cancer survivor, no warrior, in the making. The Lord never lays a burden on you that He does not equip you to handle. If any one can deal with this, it's my Mandy. Me? I'm not so sure.
