Funny because most of the more devout Christians I know don’t consider Catholics to be Christians. I know jack about Catholicism, it’s just a comment I’ve heard multiple times, and it always makes me laugh.

What's the "pope"? Is he important in my life?

    Nope!

Yeah yeah. And 500 years and 5 months ago Luther told the Church what for.
And 496 years ago the Pope excommunicated Luther and those of us who aren't "catholic" have the Pope to thank for that (of course Luther, and many of us Lutherans, consider ourselves to be 'reformed' Catholics).
What did Luther call the Papal Bull that excommunicated him? Ah yes, the "Decet Romanum Pontificem" titled "Exsurge Domine", was called a fart from Rome?
From this Leftist Pope I expect no less, value it as much as the Papal Bull 500 years ago.

    No.
    Luther considered him the Antichrist.

Well he is, mainly because he can influence a hell of a lot of people.

Yeah, there is that. People crave a leader to tell them how to live.

Ol' Jorge Bergoglio needs to re-read his New Testament. Skip to Luke. Chapter 22.
OOPS this is why the Papists were so mad at Luther for actually translating the Bible into a language that the common man (ie non-priest) could read, German; we might think about the Word of God for ourselves, and not need some dominant leader (um, like a Pope) to tell us what the Word says, but rather we can read, think, and contemplate for ourselves - how dangerous!

    ................... :yeah:

This leftist pope envisions a world where only the troops of the United Nations have arms... and says we should all join together with the "globalists" to fully embrace a "new world order". o_O

He is driving away many Catholics from the Roman Catholic church... and his latest rhetoric and exhortations will force many others away.

I hear and read that attendance at Mass is seriously declining under Francis' Vatican leadership of the church.

There are many Catholics who do not like this man or his message one single iota... and flatly refuse to listen to him or his words.

From what I understand, Catholics in Africa and South America, 2 fastest growing areas for the Church, are very conservative and do not like this pope. I'll have to search a while to verify this but I'm pretty sure this is the trend.

Early on he at least seemed to walk the walk in some ways, gave up his own Harley for auction for charity, for example. Now he just looks like another elite hypocrite. At least if he was leading by example it would be more respectable, but you know Vatican City won’t disarm itself.

Yeah next step will be to build a mosque in Vatican City to show his support for multiculturalism and world peace.

    You just might be right!!!

I suspect that Francis... aka Jorge Bergoglio... and George Soros are both drawing their water from the same well...

They seem to be "cut of the same cloth" in regards to their political leanings... :(

    :hmm:

Not much new here considering the Pope is/was responsible for the 1st Reich, the Spanish Inquisition, Friday the 13th, and most likely complicit in the escape of 3d Reich War Criminals, as well as a host of non-Christ like things, while dissembling the True Christian Way.
What secrets lie in the country of the Vatican's library; only the Pope knows.
