G
im in the market to buy a 22 handgun.
sounds like a good first handgun.
i like to shoot a lot, so it will mostly be plinking.
but i might keep it in the car sometimes.
A 22 is better than nothing.

i have shot many handguns in all calibers, but i want to start small.
and you never outgrow a 22.

what are some ideas at which one is best.

After searching for a good deal for around 15 years, I finally lucked up and found a Sig Trailside target model used with 5 magazines and original box and paperwork at the pawnshop in Wiggins the other day. Felt like I stole it at $375 since that gun is worth way more. The magazines are even on EBay right now for $100+ each. Such a sweet shooting and accurate pistol!

Just what I thought! Thats the pistol they stopped manufacturing due to the operation of handling it causes acute erectile disfunction. Seeing it is that I lost my erectile in a deer sausage processing accident several years back I can meet you within a 5 mile radius of your home and give you your money back plus $100 for any inconvenience you may have incurred!

I think I’m going to hold onto it for a while and see if the little blue pill can offset the side effects.

LOL!!! GREAT FIND. I wonder if there are a set of rings that are made to fit the dovetail in the top of the barrel?
I have seen pics of them with optics. Haven’t researched what parts are needed yet though
I had to use a base plus weaver offsets to get mine where no part of scope was sticking over the pistol. Got it dressed out 2 months ago & hate to say it but waiting for it to cool down before I shoot it

Thank you! I'm a Ruger mark ii bull fan but I've always lusted after the S&W model 41. Finally bit the bullet. Primary reason for getting it was to add a challenge to squirrel hunting. Been using a rifle for 25 years. Getting lazy. This pistol is a lot lighter on 6 mile walks behind dogs. Probably won't happen this year but I'd like to have a custom made leather chest holster with flap made for it.

Sounds like an excellent plan, wouldn’t mind trying this Trailside on a few tree rats!
