Bought this from a member here a few days ago and decided to clean it up,lube and convert it to 45colt. Now that I have two of these Lee pro1000 presses one will be kept for small primer cases and the other for large......as that is the problem area (for some,I don’t have any issues) and is kinda aggravating to swap out. By doing this all I have to do is change the shell plate and turret to another caliber,then adjust the case feeder. Easy.

Cranking out rounds now with it. 255gn projectile over 8gn of Unique in never fired cases. Pleasant to shoot but you know what’s happening in your hand lol

Since I’ve made the post above I have tested 12 rounds and loaded 100.

Folks can say what they want about the red brand.....if you have an ounce of mechanical ability,you can keep one of these running like a sewing machine.

I have 3 of them setup in 9mm,45acp,& 38/357 and once you figure out their quirks they run fine.
Set one up in 5.56 never could get that darn thing to run.

The lever action scan be fun to shoot and burn up some ammo because of it.

I will tell you this......you will get tired of pulling that tube in and out lol

LOL, I get tired of feeding the Rossi, and actually works the heck out of my wrist working the lever. But there is nothing like those little carbines and the sound of the bullet striking steel.
Got to work on mine, think I need to shim the right side cartridge guide to get it to stop spitting out the next live round with the empty.

I had a 30-30 that did that at one time......the lifter was sticky in it. It was a real pita to work the lever like that. If you didn’t Lucas McCain that thing it would jam up.

If you work the Rossi fast she'll throw out the live round. Pain in the butt. Other than that it's a sweet little shooter. Still got to spray bedline the slippery butt plate and air brush the carbine....
