I noticed muddawg95yj is getting ready to place another order for Lone Wolf Glock parts and I've been considering converting my G22 to 9mm. It looks like the barrel is cheap enough to justify, but I'm wondering what else I would need to replace. Will I need to purchase a 9mm trigger housing with the 9mm ejector? Also, will my 40 cal extractor be OK, or will I need to replace that, as well, with a 9mm extractor? Additionally, has anyone here done this conversion? If so, how reliable do you find it? I guess I'm asking if it's worthwhile, or not. I like my G22 just as it is, but would use it a lot more, if the ammo was a little cheaper. 9mm ammo fits my budget much better than 40, but I don't want to waste the money for the conversion, if it's not as reliable as a standard Glock.
I considered getting a .22 kit for one of my Glocks a while back, but they seemed too troublesome to be worthwhile. This idea seems much more sensible, since the G22 is so similar to a G17. If it's just a barrel I need, that looks like it could be done for around a hundred bucks, which seems resonable. But, if I need several other parts, it might get too cost prohibitive to be worthwhile. I'd appreciate your thoughts and/or experiences.
