I am looking to put a Volquartsen target hammer for my 10/22. My goal is to lighten the rather obscene trigger pull to about 2-2.5 lbs. I have used Volquartsen parts in my Ruger Mk II in the past and really liked the parts. I'm wondering if anyone has used this stuff in their 10/22 and what results did you have?

Never used them myself but they're suppose to be the best hammers for a 10/22. Check out rimfirecentral.com there's tons of members on there have used the Volquartsen hammers in their 10/22.

What you get with the top aftermarket parts suppliers is a better quality of steel.

Trigger jobs on the Ruger's is a huge improvement using the original parts.

It's a win/win whichever way you go.

I would suggest going with a hammer/sear combo for maximum bang for your buck if purchasing aftermarket parts.
