Ok with the apparent interest in the custom 1911 grips has posed a few questions for me so you guys tell me what are you looking for when you look at buying grips.
This will help me to make stuff you guys like and want so if theirs something you want to see ya got to let me know about it

in order of what floats my boat the most
#1 damascus grips
#2 exotic wood
#3 is a ti between alumi grips and textured micarta

...although they are of another "exotic" material...

blasted means bead blasted a rough textured surface

MS Wholesale Trophy in Brandon, behind Popeyes on 80. They have engraved on odd objects with success for me in the past.

I think smooth wood grips look really good on a 1911 but I prefer function over aesthetics so I voted for ( and bought ) G10 textured grips. Though once I get my fs and msh checkered I may get some smoothies.
