I got to take my new SG ( New England Firearms Pardner Pump Protector 12 Ga 18.5" barrel 3" chamber, synthetic stock and forend, black finish theres a pic in one of my threads of it) to the range this morning and I put 50 rounds of remington game load ( 2.75 in. 1 oz. of 7.5 shot) through it and it functioned flawlessly except once when I didnt fully cycle the action but that was operator error. I cant attest to the accuracy since just about anything shoots more accurate than I do but I can say that I feel like I got a good deal on this shotgun. For $196 (FFL transfer included) I feel that I got a hell of a shotgun...I even feel kind guilty , like maybe I ripped someone off on the price. I would recommend buying one if you need a good reliable (so far) home defense shotgun.

On a side note, I have yet to hit one skeet in flight once I do I will most definately make a very excited post about it since I have now wasted about 150 shells on skeets

This may be better suited for the long guns forum, if the Mods. see fit to move it there go ahead.Sorry Im just used to posting my babbling in the General forum

I wouldn't worry too much about them skeets. They real tough and ain't got much flavor. I wrapped some in bacon and put'em on the grill. Wound up throwing them away and just eating the bacon.

Congrats on the SG. The only thing better than a new gun is a new gun that performs well. Sounds like that's what you have.

Good choice on the shotgun. I've had one for several years now and have put it through Hell. It's been places that a more expensive shotgun would never go. The quality is UNBELIEVABLE for such a low price. These things almost can't be destroyed.

By the way, it makes for a pretty good rabbit shooter too.

First post here. I was just wondering what kind of aftermarket parts will fit this gun? If Winchester or Remington then I may have to look real hard at getting for home defense.
Thanks

BTW.....love the site. Been lurking for a while and finally took the plunge

:wel4: Were glad to have ya!

I have read that remington 870 parts will work fot it except for the barrel and you need to send the reciever off to H&R / NEF for that. I strongly suggest getting one for HD. For the price you cant pass it up but dont let the low$ fool you its a solid gun
