Hey guys, I'm shopping for a new rear bag for F-T/R this season. I have been using a cheap rear from wal-mart, and have been wanting to step up to a "real" bag that my rifle will hopefully slide in. This bag will be for my Savage 10 FLCP-K that I have been shooting in it's current configuration with the bipod on the front. Do you guys have any suggestions on bags, what I should look for, or what measurements I need to take? I am currently looking at this one from Sinclair: http://www.sinclairintl.com/.aspx/sid=71005/pid=38047/Product/EDGEWOOD_ORIGINAL_REAR_BAG_W__GRAB_HAN Stock#:04-7565 Edgewood Original Rear Bag w/ Grab Handle

Edgewood makes good bags...I have the "original" without handle.

Its all personal preference....Be sure to buy you some heavy sand and a funnel when you buy the bag...

They are a lot of fun to fill....NOT

Edgewood is what I use, I filled it with regular playground sand I bought at Home Depot and added about 10 lbs. of #7 1/2 lead shot. Make sure you get the ears as full as you can. Like Neck said its fun trying to fill these. Used a funnel and a 1/4" wooden dowel to poke the sand and shot mixture in.

What bipod are you using?
Also, isn't that rifle braked? Is that legal in F T/R? I only as because a friend has a BAS-K that he would like to use if we ever get to shoot F-Class.
I removed the muzzle brake and MSTrophyHunter made me a "blank brake" that was roughly the same dimensions/weight. This way I can swap between the two if I want to and point of impact stays very close.

And I'm currently using the short Harris bipod. I thinks it's the 9", could be wrong.

I ended up getting the Protektor #42 with the bunny ears and the Sinclair bag sand. I shot it today for the first time and it worked out nicely for me. Now I just need one of those Sinclair fancy bipods that look like scaffolding! And by the way, the $20 sand from Sinclair's makes a big difference in weight compared to regular sand... that bag is heavy!
