None of my 9mm pistols have a threaded barrel. When Southern Connection reduced their police trade-in G22's to $289 I decided I had to remedy that. The first ingredient was the G22.

Lone Wolf has their .40-9mm conversion threaded barrels on sale for $99.

Next ingredient was a set of Truglo TFX suppressor height sights.

plus a Ghost connector and spring kit

and last but not least is my Octane 45

289 :groan:
Lol I know the feeling!

Yep. You need to go get one. They've got at least a dozen gen 2's & 3's.
I’m still trying to jockey another one to put up for sale so I can generate some more funds.
Blasted PSA and their good sales. Oh well have a AR pistol kit on the way now...:D

You did real good on that one.

Sometimes I wish I still lived in Jackson. By the time I paid the $289, PLUS tax, PLUS shipping to Gulfport, PLUS ffl transfer fee, I would have totally negated all the savings.

Sounds like a Saturday trip to me TwangBanger. Load up and take the short, enjoyable ride north, you'll be glad you did. At least there won't be any shipping or FFL fees :)

Great job Marty, as usual.:daman:

Dang they aren't open on Saturdays? Have to be a Wednesday trip then. Wonder if they'd take $300 out the door. Really would like another one.

22lrfan, does your can have a booster in it? With my limited knowledge of cans, I understand that a pistol with an unlocking barrel requires the can to have a booster to function. The booster delays the added recoil weight of the can upon firing and thus allows the pistol to cycle normally. Just something I have been told.....

The Octane and Osprey from Silencerco both come with boosters. You have to purchase additional pistons for different calibers.

Anybody know if can you drop in a Glock model 35 40-9mm threaded conversion barrel into a model 22?

Yep. They call them pistons. They come with different threads for different calibers and use a large spring. I have a spacer that replaces the spring when it's used on my AR9 or AR45.

It should work fine. It will just stick out the front.

Sorry for the tangent....... but please tell me more about your AR45. What type mags does it use? Did you build it or buy it?

Nice equipment.
I suppose the longer I let the wait on a permit/stamp deter me from applying it effectively makes the waiting even longer.
