I was thinking about trying the Titegroup load or similar loads for shooting turtles in the pond to keep from loosing my brass. Was thinking of something around 1000-1800 fps

So anyone here ever try any reduced .223 loads of any kind?

I might wonder if a reduced .223 load in a gas impingement AR platform would generate enough gas pressure to fully
drive the action; in a bolt or single shot that would be a
non issue I suspect.

No so far the reduced loads I have tried will not cycle the action. Mine is also a rifle length gas system. But it drastically reduces the noise to that IMO to a 22 mag or close.

Have you tried a sound forwarder....or thought of it. With that and 17gn of cfe223 under a 55gn bullet, I don't really feel/hear the usual aftermath. The kids appreciate it.
