Found a load my .22-250 likes and borrowed a Chrono yesterday.. 77gr Nosler CC, 35gr H414,CCI BR4, Lapua brass = 3150fps. (gonna have to look at my notes but i think thats right)
1.75" at 300yds with 3 rounds
5/8" at 100yds with 15 rounds
For some reason that sounds kinda slow, i know a 40gr Vmax will do 4000fps out of it if pushed hard enough but not accurate with a 9 twist barrel.
Was thinking the 22-250 would be able to push the bullet thats only 8gr more alot faster than the 223 would. But i stopped at 35gr H414 cause it grouped well. Maybe i need to keep working the load up till i see pressure signs and work down till the accuracy gets better?

Then i got my critter bullets that i load for my Stevens 223 Bolt action 9twist 20".. 69gr Match, 26gr H322, CCI 450, Win Brass= 3080fps. Its a compressed load and the bullets are seated out long. No pressure signs.
Single feeding them into my DPMS 16" 9 twist barrel AR they are 2800fps.

The Tula 223 55gr is 3200fps out of the stevens and i think Federal XM193 5.56 is 3300fps. Gonna have to check them again too.

Ill update when i get home, its easier to type on the computer at work and update on my cell phone when i get home. :lol4:

I thought 22-250 loads with 32 grain varmit gernades run about 4000 fps...heavier weights would be in the high 3500's to 3800 I would think.

aint loaded any 22-250's yet...its on my to do list

That's why 22-250 barrels don't last long

Yea neck it didnt take me long to burn out that factory barrel. This new one is a mcgowen select match stainless 9 twist 26" so i can sling them heavy bullets instead of burning it out shootin them 40gr really fast.

Just something i noticed and wanted to see what yall had to say bout it.
It groups ok but i know it has alot more in it. Just aint had the time to really work up a load for it.
