I like the clean lines on the new Remington.
Ironically, the one 1911 I've never owned has been the original-Colt. I've been made to understand you can overcome their new safety mechanism by simply installing a Series 70 firing pin, correct?
One of the nice things about the RIA is that it doesn't have all that new jazz on it. Seems that to get around the new trend toward added safeties, you have to look for semi-customs, so that makes the RIA a nice departure.
