I've been tasked with selling some firearms for an estate and need help with the value on a pair of Remington 700 rifles, both chambered in .308.
The first one is roll marked Remington 700, has a black plastic OEM stock with no floor plate for removing unfired rounds other than to manually cycle them through the rifle. I'm thinking this is the ADL model but I don't know enough about Remingtons to be 100% certain... is this a ADL model? Rifle was purchased new 3-5 years ago. Sertial number E67282XX with XX representing numbers.
The scope is a Leupold 4x12x40 Rifleman model. (link below) Has any retailer ever sold this rifle with the scope as a package? A big box retailer like WalMart, Bass Pro Shop, Big Five, Cabela's, Academy Sports, etc? http://swfa.com/Leupold-4-12x40-Rifleman-Riflescope-P1998.aspx
With a cheap plastic hard case, sling, and a couple of boxes of ammo, would $400.00 move this fairly quickly and would this be a fair price for both seller and buyer? I don't want to give it away, but I don't want to over price the rifle.
Thanks for any help you can provide in answering my questions. I'll post questions about the 700 VTR package in a day or two.
