My grandfather used to say when he was on the force there was no better universal message for "stop what you're doing" than racking the pump on an 870. I have two 870s', hopefully will get another one, but goodness, that gun is just simply beautiful. The beauty is in the simplicity.

The Outfitter's in Florence has them advertising for $239 after rebate. Doug, I can't remember ever pulling the trigger on an 870 and it not go boom either. I got three (four if you count the 20 gauge) but that price makes me want another one.

I own [2] 870 Wingmasters and one 870 Express. All in 20 gauge. In my opinion the 870 is one of the toughest, most reliable, and accurate shotguns ever made. I also have a Winchester model 12 in 16 gauge. As great a gun as it is, I don,t think that it has anything over the 870.
