Just read an article on this new 1911 from Remington to debut in June at select dealers. It's standard size with Match barrel and bushing, trigger pull 3.5 to 5 lbs. Nice looking 1911 and I'll have me one. MSRP $699.00.

Except, THANK GOD, it has the longer grip safety. The old short grip safety bites.

i'm glad to see another reasonably priced basic model available...is this going to be made here? or is it going to be made in brazil or croatia or something, not like it really matters i guess, but for some reason i just cant make myself buy a SA 1911 because its made in Brazil, but I'd buy a Taurus 1911 in a heart beat....I guess when I think SA i think american made....yet i love my xdm
