The shooting shed at SW Gun Club is getting some much needed repairs, to include all new metal on the roof. The shed has been in place since the late 70's and the eyebrow was added sometime in the 1980's. Severe weather over the last couple of summers has been slowly peeling away at the old tin roof, until we were left with a sizable skylight. These repairs should give the old shed another 30 or 40 years of service. This is Part 1 of a multi phase project that will see repairs and upgrades being done all around the SW Gun Club property. Repairs that will include but not be limited to: the shooting shed, the 100 yard target carrier, the 25 yard turning target carrier and target frames, the alignment of our PAT Trap, a new pump house, a new sign at the main gate, new markings and signage at and around the shed and the clubhouse, and clean-up of at least one of our two old action pistol ranges. These projects will take time and will likely not be completed this year, though with luck, the major aspects of the plan will be fulfilled sooner, rather than later. This current project is expected to take from several days to a week or more and until the work on the shed is completed, the SW Gun Club range is closed to all except officers and workers. However, we will be conducting our NRA Sportsman's 3-Gun Match on Saturday, weather permitting.
