Just purchased a Ruger SR9c. Anybody out there have one they can tell me about it?

You'll like it Tom. I can almost guarantee that, however if you don't, I'm sure one of us would enjoy have another.:) Don't think that's gonna come into play, though. Only useful advice I can offer is to clean it well before heading to the range, especially including the firing pin and channel. Also, be sure and try both the pinky extension and flat base plate. Mine came with the pinky extension installed and I thought I liked it until I changed it out and learned it wasn't necessary for me. I'm sure that's different for each person, but I found the gun gripped just fine without it and it's big enough to get in the way of CC. Hope to get another range report soon.:)
I just got one from from Van's yesterday. Put 100 rounds through it so far with no issues. Really like this little gun.

+1 On cleaning it thoroughly before firing. Mine had oil all in it and inside of the magazines.
Got it Friday, cleaned Friday night...was LOADED with GREASE from the factory..... Shot it this afternoon, 150 rounds Federal 115gr FMJ....perfect performance from 10 rnd and 17 rnd mags, handles nicely, good consistent trigger - not too heavy, not too long - but heavy and long enough pull for safe CC, draws well from blackhawk holster, and seems very accurate. I was concerned at first since the finish/machining was pretty rough looking....and I noticed a small scratch in the slide and a small scratch on the feed ramp...
I agree 100% with YROC - this gun shoots great for the first time ever shooting it, and me personally not having shot a Ruger auto in >15 years.

A++++++ for the SR9c!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbup:
Nice! Yeah Ruger likes to fill them up with grease, can't wait to get out and put a couple hundred more rounds thru mine... if I ever get caught up with work!
If anyone is still on the fence about this gun, get one. I could not be more happy with mine.

Paul
I'm gonna run a couple more boxes of FMJ, then some PD ammo to ensure the same function, reliability, and accuracy with the hollowpoints, then will carry this one. :)
Congrats on the purchase Tom!

If anyone else is looking for one of these. The Outfitters has them for 419.00, cheaper than buds on the stainless model.
I thought about the bright stainless... but I like the way black guns look....and according to Ruger, the black is coated stainless.... paid $405 at Buds, free ship to FFL, $25 transfer... 3 days from on-line order to pick up in town....not too shabby....
I went with a frind of mine shooting today. Put another 50 flawless rounds through the SR9c. Also took my new 709 Slim. (great CC gun) and the wife's new Bersa 380. In this vid, we found a block of ice that has been in the shade in a washtub. The first shot was with a Remington Golden Saber +P 124 Gr. You can see what looks like a white tracer from the gun to the ice. I have never seen anything like this. Any clues?

no clue, definitely weird though. Thoughts it was just a sun/camera angle thing at first but It looks like the white stuff falls to the ground
