Do you need the original Standard grips that fit the A54Anyone know where I can pick up a set of wood grips for an old Ruger standard/MKI pistol?Nothing fancy and dont want to pay a whole lot. Preferred unfinished because I would like to stain them. I want them to be specific without cutout for bolt stop/lock.
Not for the MK I First site that I thought of Friday when he posted. Not used, but Altamont Company makes some fine grips.
It has the A-100 frame.Do you need the original Standard grips that fit the A54
frame(the original from the beginning to the latter 1970
period) or the next iteration that fit the A100 frame before Ruger brought out the MKII series?
The location and the spacing of the grip screws in the
frame is what's different with those two, if you need
it I can measure both models to determine the precise
locations. The magazines have the button that draws
the follower down is on the opposite side of the grip
frame from one model to the other.
Yeah, I checked them, but nothing for MKI...I have checked around and I guess the Older Ruger 22 pistols just aren't as accessorizedNot for the MK I First site that I thought of Friday when he posted.
"We do not currently offer grips for the Ruger Mark I or Mark IV 22/45 frames. If you would like to be informed should any of these be added to the ALTAMONT® line in the future, please shoot us an email and let us know."
Chevy427, a MKI or RST4 dating from 1965 ought to haveI have a Ruger MKI with the original factory wood grips with a thumb rest. It also has the factory black plastic grips. I bought it around 1965. Which frame would that be? Is the frame marked someway?
