Has anyone purcashed a 1891/30 Mosin Nagant rifle from AIM Surplus? I am interested in ordering one, but wanted hear feedback on the condition and etc. before ordering.

I bought 3 from Southern Ohio Gun. They were all quite shootable and one was in mint unfired condition.

Most of the 91/30s out there now are coming from two sources, PW Arms and Century. Aim,SOG,J&G and most others get their rifles from them. There are some rifles out there which are only in good condition but most are in very good to excellent condition. Never had a 91/30 flunk headspace check but have had pitted bolt heads and minor imperfections and a dark bore. Don't look for matching numbers at that price but they all seem to be good shooters.

I saw couple Mosin Nagant rifles that were at the last vintage match held at Magnolia. The wood and blueing on these rifles were in excellent condition. However, I did not look at the bolts or the bores, but the shooters were putting a good many of the rounds (surplus ammo) in the black.
